Scott Shaffer Rybolt

Hartsburg, Missouri

Scott Shaffer Rybolt, 60, of Hartsburg, MO, passed away at his home on May 7, 2024.

Scott was born in St. Louis on July 28, 1963, a son of Marvin and Lois Shaffer Rybolt.  He was employed as an electrician with the University of Missouri and Columbia College.  He served his nation in the US Navy on board the USS Tripp as a Boiler Tech.  

Scott’s biggest passion in life was riding and working on motorcycles and formerly served as president of the Invader’s Bike Club. He also loved fishing, hunting for deer, mushrooms and arrowheads. He also loved coaching youth soccer at the Ashland Optimist during the time his kids played there as children. 

Survivors include his children, Heather and Lauren Rybolt; a sister, Jeanne Fox; grandchildren, Damien Nelton, Jamison Shaffer and Kehlani Green and his former wife of 17 years, Penny Raines.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 1, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 at the Hartsburg American Legion Hall. To honor Scott's dedicated service to the United States Navy, military honors will be rendered at 3:00 p.m. at the Legion Hall.
