Randell Scott Phillips

Randell Scott “Randy” Phillips, 59, of Hartsburg passed away at his home on March 18, 2026.

Randy was born on January 29, 1967, a son of Michael Phillips and Mirian Hoefelman Phillips. He married Bernice Jean Fenner on July 18, 1986. Bernice survives at their home.

Randy was self-employed in flooring installation for 40 years. His favorite activities included deer and turkey hunting, fishing, golfing, rodeoing and dirt track racing. Randy especially loved his family and had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Bernice, Randy is survived by his sons, William Phillips and wife, Emily of Ashland and Austin Phillips and wife, Lydia of Fairgrove; his parents, Michael Phillips and Mirian Phillips both of Ashland and his much-loved grandchildren, Doris and Everett Phillips.

Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Allen and Reba Hoefelman and Gladys Phillips.

Services honoring Randy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 23, 2026, at Robinson-Yager Funeral Home in Ashland with Gabe Gilpin officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will at Goshen Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to benefit his grandchildren’s college education payable to Bernice Phillips.
