Michael "Mick" Frederick Williams

Michael "Mick" Frederick Williams, 86, of Hartsburg, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 17, 2026, at his home.

 Born June 30, 1940 in Jefferson City, Missouri, he was the son of Willard Dee Williams and Emilee Geneva (Clark), who preceded him in death. He was a 1958 graduate of Ashland High School. 

Mick was a lifelong farmer, truck driver, and mechanic. In earlier years, he enjoyed pulling his tractor in truck and tractor pulls all over Missouri. He was a sprint car driver at Capital Speedway in Jefferson City and held the record for most end over end flips. He was a true American Cowboy and adored his favorite horse, Cody. In his later years, he liked to watch Judge Judy, affectionately calling her his "Sweet Thing.” Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The memories they made together were the most special times.

Mick is survived by his children: Gregory Scott (Leslie) Williams of Hartsburg and Sandra (Mark) Janzen of Peck, Kansas; one sister: Becky (Michael) Quinn of Jefferson City; one sister-in-law: Judy Williams of Ashland; two grandchildren: Gregory Michael "Bubba"(Shelby) Williams and Elizabeth Sarah "Lizzy" Williams (fiancé Michael); two great-grandchildren: Audrey "Boots" Williams and Beau "Smiley" Williams.

He was also preceded in death by one sister: Virginia (Charlie) Gallipeau, one brother: Ronald Williams, and one great-grandchild: Hallee Rae Williams.

A special thank you to Leslie for staying home to take care of Mick and allowing him to rest and remain at the place he loved the most.

A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hartsburg, MO.
