Harry “Wayne” Sapp, 81, of Wright City, MO passed away August 15, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
Wayne was born February 26, 1945, in Columbia a son of Harry Finis Sapp and Hallene Marie Martin Sapp. Wayne grew up in Hartsburg and had also lived in Prince George’s County, MD and Bunceton, MO. He served his nation in the United States Navy and was later employed in security with AmTrak. He enjoyed playing pool, car racing and was a member of Onnuri Presbyterian Church in Maryland Heights.
Survivors include his loving wife, Yonny Ko Sapp; two daughters, Christina Marie Sapp and Shelly Rae King; a sister, Judy Lammers and husband, Larry; grandchildren, Darlene Rae King, Daris Ann King, Dalton Allen King, Hayley Marie Sapp, Tyler Anthony Sapp, Christian Michael Sapp, Madison Nichole Dillow and Trinity Alexis Golden and nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gene Sapp and two sisters, Nancy Chapman and Rhonda Mahan.
Graveside services honoring Wayne’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Bonds Chapel Cemetery, 20200 State Hwy. A, Hartsburg, MO 65039.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Robinson-Yager Funeral Home to assist with Wayne’s services.
