Doris Faye Reno

Doris Faye Reno, 89 of Columbia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. She was born on June 24, 1935, in Englewood, Missouri, the daughter of Warren and Nettie Mae (Davis) Herron. She married Guy L. Reno on September 24, 1953, and he preceded her in death. She retired from the University of Missouri in 2000. Doris enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandsons, cooking and baking for family and friends, planting a garden and being outdoors. 

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Reno Daly (Kevin), Jeff Reno (Rebecca) and grandsons Bennett and Cooper, all of Columbia; her sisters and brothers, Mable Heard of Centerville, Virginia, Elaine Allen, Donald (Deanna) Herron, Daryl Herron, of Columbia, sister-in-law, Betty Herron of Ashland and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Wanda Reno, her sisters, Evelyn Sue White and Lois Wilhite and one brother Bill Herron.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions are suggested to Central Missouri Humane Society, 616 Big Bear Blvd., Columbia, MO 65202.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Ashland Missouri.
