Curtis Harmon, 74, passed away at the University Hospital on October 26, 2025.
He was born to L.L. “Bud” Harmon and Neldia (Nichols) Harmon on October 6,1951 at Boone County Hospital in Columbia.
He graduated in 1970 from Southern Boone High School and later enlisted in the Army where he was proud to be a member of the 82nd Airborne Division while stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was hardworking and never met a stranger. He was always willing to help and always viewed life as a glass half full.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Dawn) Harmon, David Harmon, Candy Bruns and Anita (Andrew) Lee. His brothers, Jim (Cindy) Harmon, Lawrence (Deb) Harmon, his sister Susan (Danny) Aitkens, sister-in-law Linda Harmon, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Ronnie Harmon.
Services will be Friday, October 31, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Robinson-Yager Funeral Home in Ashland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. Graveside burial will immediately follow at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
