Bradley Ball, age 42, much loved resident of Centralia, passed away at his home on November 8, 2025.
Bradley was born in Columbia on June 17, 1983, a son of Kenneth Ball and Patricia Basinger Ball. He graduated from Centralia High School and attended Moberly Area Community College.
Those cherishing Bradley’s memory include his mother, Patricia Hill and stepfather, Darrell Wayne Hill, Jr. of Madison; his grandmother, Lorraine Basinger of Ashland; sisters, Ashley Woods (Ross) and Jennifer Brooks (Kyle) both of Columbia; his niece and nephew, Everly and Liam Woods and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Ball; brother, Kenny Ball; grandparents, Morris Wayne and Millie Ball and Chester Basinger.
Bradley Scott Ball was the kindest person you could ever hope to meet. He always had a smile on his face, infectious laugh, and kind words for everyone. He would give you the shirt off his back if you asked.
Bradley was a proud member of the Grandview Baptist Church, where he loved being involved with everything. His church family meant a lot to him. He always wanted to be there for them, and they were certainly there for him.
Bradley worked at a few places after he graduated including McDonald’s and Casey’s in Centralia, while there he got to know more people than he already knew. His brother, Kenny, once said he thought Bradley’s goal in life was to meet everyone in the world. He may have been right because Bradley never met a stranger and treated everyone like a friend.
Bradley’s first job was working at the racetrack in Holts Summit. He took tickets at the front gate, and he got to know a lot of people who were racing fans. He also got to know many of the drivers. One driver in particular, Carl Edwards, always made him feel very special. Carl even spent time with Bradley outside of the track. Bradley’s most prized possessions are two racing trophies given to him by Carl. He never stopped talking about Carl and considered him a lifelong friend.
Several years ago, Bradley started working at the voting polls. Here, he got to know more people. He loved greeting everyone by name and helping in any way he could. Since he learned all the compliance rules, he soon became a supervisor. He took this role very seriously and enjoyed working with others and meeting the public.
Bradley got to go to Universal Studios a few years ago. There he met several of his favorite Superheroes. He was able to take pictures with them, and they talked to him for a while. Since he was also a big Harry Potter fan, he loved visiting Hogwarts there and getting to drink some Butterbeer. He always enjoyed new experiences.
Bradley was also well known for his love of hot sauce. The hotter- the better! Because of this, he always received gifts of hot sauces from various friends and family. He also made his own rub recipe for cooking meat which he has given as gifts. His recipe included 26 different spices for his special rub.
Those who knew Bradley knew he liked to dress comfortably. He also wore a lot of blue, since it was his favorite color. For those of you who will attend his funeral, we ask you to do the same. Dress comfortably and wear something blue in honor of Bradley Scott Ball.
